deli. >>> garn. i'm tori campbell. -- good afternoon. i'm tori campbell. >>> a east bay deli is shut down after people got sick. claudine wong tells us what we've learned about the outbreak and how it's spread. >> reporter: yes, the health department now says there were 50 people sickened by the norovirus. two people that worked at this deli and 48 people that went to an event that was catered by the deli. now the deli is back open right now, the health department has given it the green light. but both the department and the owners of that deli agree there are lessons from this that everyone can learn from. the north park deli was back in business this morning, much to the relief of regular customers like kristin anderson who tried to come here yesterday. >> i wanted to come in and get one of their really good burritos and they were closed. kind of a bummer. >> reporter: you ex-- you are excited to see it back open? >> yes. >> reporter: ktvu had the only camera there after the health department gave the all clear. >> they have to throw out all of the food that was open and then real
brian floor is, tori campbell is off. again three schools are on lock- down in sunnyvale after someone reported seeing a gan man with a gun in the area. he was seen running away there. they have locked down these schools. these are live pictures as you can see there. police are searching the area but have found no gunman. you see a police presence there again. 10 minutes ago sheriff's officials began escorting them on to school buses. they are telling parents to go there for information about the incident. we will stay on that during this noon newscast. also at this noon news hour alameda county sheriffs are investigating an officer- involved shooting there. noel walker has been there since this morning and joins us from dublin with the latest there. >> reporter: the sheriff's mobile unit arrived within the hour which means they man to stay here a while. you can see where they are gathered beyond the crime scene tape and over to the side of them is y where this all happened 5 houses down from where i am standing in front of that house with the shrubs in front. we talked to a neighbor
freeway. good afternoon. i'm tori campbell. we're just learning new information about that dramatic sideshow in the middle of 880. it happened in oakland over the weekend. brian flores joins us live now from oakland to let us know what you've just learned. >> reporter: good afternoon. this particular sideshow happened on 880 at 4:00 p.m. on saturday near the coliseum. while some of the drivers may have been having fun, the chp and other drivers there just are not laughing. >> there's also incidents where there's hospital in the i have sinty that people are trying to reach family members or care for themselves. so absolutely in no way is this safe driving. >> reporter: the drivers in these cars doing doughnuts near the coliseum are in big trouble with the law. >> i've never seen anything like this. it's just -- it's unreasonable. it looks like something you would see on a video game. these are real life incidents. >> reporter: on saturday afternoon, the unknown driver stopped northbound traffic for this sideshow. while sideshows are nothing new to the area, this was one of the first
afternoon. i'm tori campbell. super bowl week is officially underway. media day just wrapped up a few hours ago. ken wayne is there and he's surrounded by the super bowl excitement taking over new orleans. good afternoon, ken. >> reporter: we're outside of the superdome. final preparations are being made. you can see the awnings being put together and as we pan a little more to the right. you can see the workers doing their jobs. those buses leave you no you, actually, two minutes ago, buses were coming out with a police escort and we presume those were raven players from their day with the media. inside the superdome hundreds of photographers and reporters gathered for media day to interview all of the players. beyond the serious sports journalists, you can find representatives from tabloids, entertainment shows, gossip programs. and there was also a large international contingent including one group from norway. >> people are having super bowl. talk is all over the country. they are really getting into the sport and more and more people are understanding the sport. >> reporter: you meet s

[clear] >>> good afternoon. i'm tori campbell. we begin with breaking news from phoenix where police say a man shot three people in an office complex in the north central part of that city this morning. the shooting happened about two and-a-half hours ago. police say the three shot have life threatening wounds. two other people suffered less serious injuries. police are still looking for the gunman described as a white man in his 60s, and that he got into a dispute with someone at the building before he pulled a gun and began shooting. they say the shooting does not appear to be random. >>> today's congressional hearing on gun violence has been nothing short of dramatic. >> we must do something! it will be hard! but the time is now! >> former representative gabrielle giffords who survived a gunshot wound to the head made a surprise visit. she opened the hearing and spoke haltingly of the need to protect our children. but opinions differed wildly on exactly how to do that. much of the debate focused on tougher laws, background checks and me
